Who Are You? EDISC

This week I want to focus on Extended DISC. Extended DISC is about behaviours and behavioural profiling also known as energy types, it’s even more powerful than the old DISC, the old DISC broke people down into 16 different packets and Extended DISC break’s you down into 160 packets so there’s a lot more information about getting to know yourself, and getting to know other people.

What is EDISC? so they talk about a person whose behavioural style is Dominant, Influencer, Steadfast or Compliant when I talk about DISC, I talk about it in language that anybody can understand and anybody can interpret.

I talk about EDISC from a SFKD perspective a STRONG person a FUN person a KIND person and a Detailed logical person.

Knowing about behavioural styles, energy types and knowing who you are, knowing what behavioural style, energy type you are, is the basis of all sales relationships.  We like to do business with people we know, like and trust.  People that we know, like and trust often have the same energy style as we have ourselves.

It’s easy to do business with people that have the same or similar energy styles as we have.  If we want to do business with the whole market, with a hundred percent of the market, with a hundred percent of the people in your particular niche or stream, then it’s important to understand our own style and be able to adapt our style in a conversation, in a relationship to be similar to the client that you are helping to make a buying decision.

To be able to adjust your style, your abilities, to be able to converse with the client in their way, to make them feel relaxed and comfortable talking with you.  If they are a detailed logical person getting to the detail and the logic, using jargon and technical terms, giving them as much detail as you can about the product or service.

The most IMPORTANT thing about EDISC is understanding you, understanding yourself so if you haven’t had and an EDISC analysis, if you haven’t had an EDISC unpack, it’s really time that you stepped up and got yourself an EDISC analysis and unpack.

You will learn things, know things about yourself that you didn’t know before. You will know and learn about the things that are a bit of a stretch for you or use’s a lot of energy. If that’s the way you want to go, knowing what’s your stretch and knowing the next thing that you can work on.  It doesn’t pigeonhole anybody; it gives you information about yourself.

if you understand yourself and you understand your behavioural style, and what you naturally do well, and what you don’t naturally do well, it’s a really powerful tool.  It helps you move forward to help you grow yourself, to help you improve yourself.
